Coconut in a chonklit cake? Haven't heard of or eaten that one. Takes away the "schokoladigen" taste of the cake. Arnie, if you ever come to Frankfurt or nearby, I'll bake you a german chonklit cake, without coconut of course. I can even offer you some "Reibekuchen mit Apfelmus", which I think is the same as the latke you love.

it's a date... just may take a while to get there, since plane travel and i are not always on the best of terms... I'm heading out to ride horses this long weekend, my yearly visit to the adirondacks. Now that's MY idea of travel!

I can understand that. I don't like to travel by plain either. Driving a car, riding a Motorcycle, I am in control. Train ride is o.k. even tho I can't control that either, but pent-up in a metal cylinder high in the air ? But if I could afford it I'll grab some courage and come over to one of the church events.
Would love to go on horseback, that sounds like real fun, riding in the mountains, sitting at a campfire. Enjoy it!
