Not in the winter, I hope! I've seen news videos of Texans driving on ice! It's pretty scary!

The ice happens once every few years and Native Texans know better than to get out when it does. It is nasty; it happens so seldom, they don't have the road equipment to deal with more than a moderate snow. But most of every winter is pretty mild. Summer here is another thing entirely, as Judy will attest (or ask Arlo about the year the bus A/C broke in Okemah). I really do feel sorry for all those suffering through the heat and storms.

"Moderate" is not a word I'd use to describe the summers out there.....

I saw the kids tonight, they were on their way to pick up Strawberry and move back into their home. They seemed ok, maybe a bit tired. More unsettled from the disruption of their life. But outwardly grateful it wasnt worse.
