Ouch, 3 dead. Hoping the wildfires stay away from the wyldflowers.

Vibes are heading to the families and friends of the three firefighters.

Thankfully, the weather is cooperating - we're due to get some rain and snow this afternoon and evening. I'm not all that near to the fires - they are a good bit south of here - the whole town of Ordway has been evacuated. The second fire is between Fort Carson and Pueblo - also a fair distance south of me. I'm sending vibes to those in harm' way.

Wyld wildfires, huh? As much as I love when Spring and Summer arrive in the mountains, I worry about the fires. We've had a huge one burning the west face of the Manzanos since Tuesday. It's about to jump the crest and head toward populated areas on the east side. There are several more burning in NM. Some areas got a little bit of snow, but nowhere near as much as I heard some CO areas got. The wind here has been blowing for 2 days, around 35 mph with gusts around 50! And the humidity is at 6% so not much help there.

I hope CO and NM can contain these fires quickly. Stay safe up there, Wyld!
