Here, in the north of France, there is no snow, but the weather is cold and it was so beautiful this morning for Chrismas, all the countryside was white with frost.

We got home at the stroke of midnight on Christmas day, and fell into our beds. We had a blast...it was wonderful time spent with family, and we enjoyed every moment. It made Christmas shopping a lot easier, too...you couldn't wrap this or stick it in a box with a bow, but it was something we'll all remember. We probably have enough "stuff" anyway.

Meteor Crater was a big hole in the ground...we got there too late to hike it (this time of year it got dark really early!) but it was only about 29 degrees, and we were freezing our butts off. I wasn't as fascinated with it as other family members were. (Yup, it's a big hole in the ground!!)

We couldn't really appreciate the many colors of the Sunset volcanic crater because it was totally covered in snow, so we didn't bother. We did get to the Pertrfied Forest, and it was very beautiful and interesting. It was also very cold!!!

Las Vegas was okay..there's lots of places to spend a lot of money just doing regular things, like eating meals and looking at stuff. I did put a couple of dollars in a penny slot machine and came out even...I apparently do not have the desire to gamble. We did see a couple of shows; the best were Spamalot and Blue Man Group.

We put 3,000 miles on the rental car in 19 days...!

I find very comforting to know that we blunderites do seem to know our asses from a hole in the ground! I point to the above comments by Sue as exhibit "A". Now, if we could make more of our elected officials blunderites............

Ya know, I did have an after thought too. Sue, it may be a good thing you decided not to hike in that meteor crater. It would seem that meteors like that spot, and you never know when the next one is gunna fall.Why take chances?

And getting back to the ass from a hole in the ground thing.........did you know that this concept is what keeps Dubya from playing golf? I mean last time he tried he had to go visit the doctor after his round for a procedure involving a rubber glove and have the doctor tell him " George, these are Top-Flights, NOT suppositories!"
