She's on her way to NM to spend a few days with me (I haven't seen her since April 25th), then she flies to LA to spend a few days with a friend she met at Live 8 last summer.

At PHL, security (being as tight as it's been lately), told her she needed to get rid of lip gel and chapstick. But, she begged, it's a long flight and she NEEDS her chapstick. Nope, they told her to go to baggage and pack them in her suitcase.

On her way to baggage, she realized they never checked her camera bag, and in that bag was another tube of chapstick! She turned in the ones they "tagged" but never said a word about the camera bag.

She got back to security and they waved her through, never checking to see if she actually did get rid of the lip gels, nor did they check her other bag!

Please keep her in your thoughts and/or prayers as I'm very concerned about her flying... especially so close to the 5th anniversary. She's scheduled to land at ABQ at 7 tonight.

Oh, if you want to see a really neat way of tracking a flight online, go to continental.com and click on flight status. Type in 177 as the flight number and you'll see where the plane is; just hit refresh/reload every so often to see an update of the flight. She lands in Houston and then changes planes to here.

Flight status is nothin' new... Jetblue has been using that for a few years now. It's also part of their in-flight entertainment... I sit there, holding on tight while i watch the little airplane work it's way across the USofA, and i wonder, if i throw-up, will i see it show up on the screen???

LOL Arnie. When she flew by another company last year to FL, they didn't use the tracking map. So for me this is a novelty.

My Sister, and her husband, will be flying back to the USA {Missouri} from London on 9-13...
You bet I'll be praying for EVERYONE flying this month.

Re: Lip gel & chapstick. I'd rather have chapped lips then to get caught with it. Custody lasts a lot longer then a flight. And she ain't gonna have it when she's locked up.

She landed in Houston about an hour ago, had 1/2 hour to make her connecting flight... but her flight out of Houston's delayed about an hour now... and we're getting a major thunder/hail storm here...

She finally got here!

Glad she made it okay! Prayers for those flying this month & those who went thru 9/11...

We had a great time. She's in Denver now, on her way to LA for a few days.

Oh, we found out yesterday that she's been admitted to UNM for Spring semester!
