Sue and I were checking out the trinity Church in Kingston. ( nice day for a day trip, even tho we knew the venue was closed on Sunday) So I thought it funny a church closed on Sunday. ( not remembering in my mind, the venue has a differant address than the Church) Dah!!! Light another.

Anyhow, I was asking these two old ladys, that came walking by the Church, if they thought it impossible, for me to purchase concert tickets on a Sunday. ( they had to be in they're 90's) This one lady, says, Jeepers, can't you read? There's a sign on the door, and the hrs. are posted... 9-12...And the other lady sorta argued with her sister, that she was in fact, treating me unkindly... ( NEVER BEEN TO CANADA, AND Been treated rudely... It's NEVER happened)

THEN, the mean sister walked within 2' of the church door, and says, Jeepers, you had better get new glasses, " It says right here plain as day, hrs. are from 9-12... PERIOD!!! With the other nice sister, telling the other, my gosh, your being mean spirited sister... SO the nice sister, suggest I go ring the bell, on the pastors door. Her sister really reamed her, saying how dare, I bother the pastor at 2:30 in the afternoon... Sister have you gone mad. Is what I think she said...

I peaked in the window, noticed a small poster of the 40th anniversary of Alice tour. And I suggested to the two old gals, AT LEAST I GOT THE RIGHT PLACE... Mean one saying, who's playing here that's so important. I said arlo guthrie, and the nice one said, "oh I think I heard that"

I started to go on my way, as I wasn't into botherin no preacher, on his off time. When the mean sister gave me a 5 minute lecture, that I shoulda checked on the internet. "Why every place has a space on the internet. That's where you should go"!!! I didn't argue. But thanked them kindly for they're efforts. Even the nice one didn't look me in the face, as I think she was embarrassed....

TOO FUNNY!!!! I love that old lady. She has spite!!!

So we drove to the right venue, ( after Sue pulled another address outta her pocket she was supposed to give me). Looked at the Arlo Guthrie poster in the window...

dejeu veu today. But hopefully I won't run into any old ladys. No diss-respect... Just concert tickets...

In hindsight, I wished she had asked me, why I didn't purchase tickets via the phone. So I could ask to borrow a major credit card. Debit cards work in the states, but apparently not Canada...

No big deal tho. Crossing over by the islands is a rush. I have been known to suffer vertigo, and I almost pass out, the bride is SO much higher, than the one next door...

Peace out/Rb

ps: that's a pretty neat church. I guess I should check out they're website. ( taking the ladys advice ) I haven't laughed that hard, in a long time. A senior moment with seniors ;-)

I always have fun Cheryl. Sometimes I just dont' see it...but for the most part, lifes a garden can u dig it? (joe dirt)

Yes, I got my tickets yesterday. Kingston is a big town. Imagine me trying to remember stuff??? ( not my forte. memory) Anyhow the streets I had memorized, had a road block, via fender bender... Fun, fun, driving around Kingston for the better part of an hr... ( well it seemed like an hr) lol

But I won a bet, who'd find the venue first. ( sue didn't talk to me all the way home... ntm: she welched on her bet))) arrgg.

Yeah, the youngish gal, selling tickets, was very friendly. I even got the american exchange on my ticket $$$$ I saved 6$ Canadian... It's 10% now, so it's really easy to figure... The gal laughed, as she said, jes, it's nice, we haven't seen American money in how long??? ( consoling with a work-mate) Long time. They said it was nice, as yrs. past they were giving us most of our money back....

NOW, it's only 10%.... LARRY

says allot for the American (BUS) dollar...

Doors open at 7:00 Show starts at 8:00

It is general admission

The gal said get they're an hr. early if you want a good pew.

Fine print on back.... ALL RECORDING AND CAMERA devise's will be confiscated at the front, and you can pick em up on the way out...

I like concerts that do that... Taking photo's is kewl. But it also seems aggrivating at times... I guess it takes away the seriousness of the event. And Folk shows are supposed to be serious...

I'm sure there will be some A-H*LE that will sneak in a camera...I hope I'm wrong..

Peace out/rb

If I were there I'd probably be the A-H*LE that would sneak in a camera LOL. I love taking pics esp at concerts. I have pics dating back to the 60's & 70's that I have taken & they are memories to me. It bugs me when a place won't let me bring my camera in. I like having pics to remember the event by & I have a disdain for stupid rules like that lol. But I won't be there so no one has to worry about a flash going off next to them lol...
