Yes bullet proof vest! THAT'S RIGHT, Our town donated about 7 or so and now the town our business is in donated 7 more! The police officers are issued new ones about every 3-5 yrs, so they really don't need the old ones and so they put out a call for used vests! The troops use them to line the vechiles they are driving in, since alot of them don't have the right armor, like you have mostlikely heard on the news...Way back Nov 03, Aaron was told to go out and buy is own vest as the army had run out of the! They cost every penny of 1,200.00 OR MORE! You need to specail order these things from a gun shop!We had a friend back then, tell us NO FRIEND of mine is going over without a vest! And he was ready to help Aaron pay for his! Thankgod thats when they started coming in..and then Aaron was told MONTHS later they had vests to go over!

well all i can say is that I hope aaron thanks max/god/yahweh/arlo/etc everyday that his in-laws actually LIKE him!

hope Aaron is feeling better soon, but if he could stay just minorly not okay and can stay here, that would probably be okay, too. Not really sick or anything, just not good enough to go back! Hope Jen got through her surgery okay! I never got any wisdom teeth and they're not impacted either, they're just not there. That might explain a lot...

Just wanted to let you ALL know Aaron's troop arrived home in Nj very early thismorning! Thanks again for ALL the support and remember the Michagan Nat Guard in your prayers!ALONG with ALL the other troops that still continue to fight this ugly fight!

Thankful that these troops are home... still sending vibes out to those still in harms way... including a co-worker who was recently sent over. Her troop is stationed in Tikrit.

May they ALL come home soon, and safe!

What good news! But sad for folks in Michigan. What a mess.

I'm very glad that Aaron's unit is home.

Our local pharmacist's daughter was killed over there. She was working for some business and not in the service, but it doesn't ease their grief in any way, I'm sure.

Yay!! I'm so glad to hear that some of our young folks are making it home OK. Pryaers and Blundervibes for those still over there.

YAY for Aaron's troop ... but as was said, some are still going.
Wyld--I am still sending boxes so send me the APO address of our coworker and I'll put her on the list!
That goes for everyone on Group W actually. I have 5 names so far and am expecting several more from Michigan Natl Guard.

HOWEVER, if you know of someone in harm's way (Iraq, Afghanistan, Rwanda, whatever), I will be happy to add them to my list and start sending care packages.

Also, yellow-ribbon stickers are still for sale ($5 per sticker--$1 pays for printing, $4 goes toward postage). Linda was nice enough to have her printer do some more for me (in addition to donating more food and postage money, etc.).

Let me know if any of you have someone who could use a care box or if you would like to buy stickers or whatever.
