I just picked up Michael Moore's latest, "Will They Ever Trust Us Again? Letters from the War Zone"

Seems to me this might be a good book to revive the Blunderite Book Club with... though I'm not good at all at herding cats... But maybe a few of you will also think it's worth discussing. Let me know when might be good... this week, for me, Friday is out... and Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not good until after ten...

What do you think? Shall we give it a try?

I've read the Intro and am about 4-5 letters into the main part of the book. Oh, yeah. It would be a good BBC choice. Sunday, late afternoon?

I just started reading, too... only the intro so far...

Sunday may work for me.... I have plans in the evening... going up to Caffe Lena to hear Lowen and Navarro for the second time in the weekend... what do you consider "late sunday afternoon?"

Cool...... Haven't got the book yet,but hope to soon, think I'm getting the F 9/11 companion for Christmas,(given enough hints).Depending on the time I could read your thoughts.

howdy...i'm going to try to get back in the swing of things here on arlonet (no promises!) but a revival of the bbc sounds good to me!

we used to pick a book and then pick a date in the future (depending on the size of the book) for the discussion so everyone had time to read first and discuss after as opposed to 'during'.

since we now have a book ..why not see who else is interested in joining the discussion and then pick a date a few weeks out from now for the discussion? just a thought.

i'll try to get my hands on the book in the next few days (i'm in ma for another 10 days or so) and be there for the discussion....

Has anyone read Moore's "Dude, Where's my Country?" I just borrowed it, have no time to read until after finals, but Lance and Michael are sharing it.

I kinda read it...I listened to it really...book on tape...it was really good...

"Stupid White Men" (you would never have had a chance to read it if not for those librarians!!) and "Dude, Where's my Country?" are both great. Trouble is the people who should read them won't.

Funny you should say that... Michael said after seeing F/911 that no one should be allowed to vote unless they've seen it.

After the election, he stated rather emphatically... "I guess they didn't see the movie."
