Is the Christian Admiral hotel still in Cape May? I stayed there onced in the 60's & it was an interesting trip. Some of the rooms had bathrooms & other rooms were ones where you had to share a bathroom with other folks. I'm betting it's gone by now. I went with my folks, Aunt & Uncle & cousin to see a preacher my Aunt & Uncle knew do a Bible conference up there. My cousin was a hippie at the time so that made for an interesting time at the hotel...

Wow didn't realize that. I think someone had told me they thought it was tore down but I haven't been there in yrs. My folks still have old home movies they took when we were down there back then. I put them on video with 60's music for a background soundtrack. I bet the Cape May has changed since I went there...

One thing that has changed is that Congress Hall is open for business. Another thing, the "guest houses" are now very expensive B&Bs. And Cape May has become very eclectic... very crowded.

Bob Steeger (owner of all the beach cabanas, umbrellas, beverage stands on the beach, and the storefront 5 & 10 on Beach Avenue retired a number of years ago. His name is still on all the beach stuff, but his old building was torn down and rebuilt into "modern" beach shops, very expensive, exclusive type stuff.
