Just passing through, but could hardly stop in without saying "Howdy" to everybody. (That would be simply too rude for words.) I may or may not get back here anytime soon, but wanted to at least send my love to you all, tell you that you are often in my thoughts (even if I'm kind of MIA at present) -- and to say "Thanks" once again, for good measure.

As for my own news -- My head is still attached to the rest of my body. That's got to count for something, right? And when it comes to everything else ... Well ... a fellow bartender once pointed out, "The only people with no problems are dead people."

Personally, I wouldn't want to rule out the possibility that dead people have problems too, however rarely they may confide about them to bartenders. However, since that's neither here nor there, I'm going to leave it at that, wish all the best to the Netizens of Blunderland, and take my leave. You must not watch a lot of T.V., huh? There's this dude called John Edward who talks to dead people -- for a price, of course. Anyway, he has a show on T.V., doing post mortem counseling. Then there's the Pet Psychic ... She talks to (and counsels) dead pets.

Actually, I'm hoping that problems are a sometime thing myself, but like Hamlet said (and old Hamlet Sr. sure seemed to be having some serious problems in the great Elsinore in the sky, come to think of it), "What dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause."

I'll keep in touch as best I can. I got the Official Eviction Notice at the end of last month -- for coming up a little less than a third short on July's rent. I'm supposed to be out by the end of August.

Of course, the last tenant lived in this apartment free for ten years, and did less work around the building than I do -- but she had a title (manager), and I don't (I just do the work). I guess that makes all the difference in the world ... that, and she did move out when the the building's new owner asked her to start paying rent.

Anyway, I have no idea what happens next, but will pop in to say, "Hey," when and if I can. I'm definitely not up to this. I do know that much.

But what can ya' do? As previously noted, the only people with no problems tend to be dead people, and we can't even be sure of that much. Sigh.
