Xavier opened... All were dressed in black (or very dark) colors. Randy wore a cowboy hat which looked cool, but made it very difficult to see his face...

Rock My Soul (lead - Tim)
Last Train (lead - Randy)
Strangers (lead - Randy)

Arlo and Sarah joined them, also dressed in black.

Chillin' of the Evening
Ocean Crossing
Introduction/Fence Post Blues
St. James Infirmary
Pretty Boy Floyd
Sinking of the Rueben James
In a Young Girl's Mind (lead - Sarah)
Mooses Come Walking
Comin' into Los Angeles

Intermission

Alice's Restaurant
When A Soldier Makes It Home
Ring Around A Rosie Rag
When the Ship Comes In
Golden River (lead - Sarah)
Big Square Walking (lead - Sarah)
City of New Orleans

Encore

Prologue
Under Cover of Night
Irene Goodnight

It was great! Would have been greater, of course, with Darkest Hour... But, it was nice talking to Jessica and to Dennis, a bit. The sound person really cranked the band during Undercover of Night... It was hard to hear, and I pretty much know the words. But the stories were fun, we had great seats, and had a wonderful time. (I even ran into a family who had brought their puppy to my dog class in the fall!)

Edited to add Mooses Come Walking. I forgot to note it, but it came near the end of the first set.

Abe (or Arlo) Who?

Yes, of course I spoke (briefly) to Arlo. I made Emma get 2 'graphs for me, and I got 2 - for up and coming Blunderites.

I saw Sarah briefly after the gig, but did not talk to her. And, I saw Randy talking to Jessica, when I went back for the second and final sale (to Starchild) of the evening.

Thanks for the setlist, Starchild... Good to see "Pretty Boy Floyd" back in the setlist... Does anyone know if Xavier will be backing Arlo at Monmouth U., in West Long Branch, NJ on 2/4? Or is this an acoustic gig?

Just checked the dates on XavierWeb and it appears that Xavier will be with him! Agreed about Pretty Boy Floyd... keep that one in for a while. Same thing with "When the Ship Comes In"... Also, what happened to Xavier doing "Alone" somewhere in there? Seeing Abe take the lead on the whole song was worth the price of admission alone!

Would love to hear Woody's 'Pretty Boy Floyd' with Xavier backing Arlo. It's the only song I didn't like off 'Precious Friends'. Didn't care for the drum sound, and it sounded over (or maybe under) rehearsed.

* love the way Dylan covers it on 'Vision Shared'. and that IS a switch. Usually it's the other way around, liking Guthrie's version of Dylan. **let's say an exception to the rule.
