"The world is getting stupider as time goes by." - ADG

Just when you thought it was nutty enough the breaking news broke months ago that the yanks were coming and guess what......I wonder if the ISIS people got a surprise last night especially when the Russians gave the nod and sanctioned the attacks (so to speak)

Anyway, we can all watch the war unfolding in front of our eyes (on our armchairs of course)

Peace and goodwill to those of similar gender and to the rest well ....look to the skies for a sign! (The hatchets are coming amonst other wee weapons of destruction. I saw it on CNN and Aljazzera but they probably don't watch them sites - do they?)

Syria still hasn't gone away you know. Wonder what the final solution will be for those millions of refugees and displaced human beings. The war goes on and the killing fields are spreading their harvest abroad. Perhaps the Middle East is becoming too big a problem for the powers that be what with whole countries falling apart while another arms race grows apace. Who knows, maybe this time next year there'll be improvement in the condition and future prospects for human civilisation as we now know it. Otherwise......!

Peace and goodwill to those like-minded. Peace and goodwill to the innocents.

It's what comes next for any future generations that might endure after our stupid one. IS is indeed scary and a really mean bunch of nuts but humanity requires a better kind of leadership. In respect to that, I think Obama is not just a president, he has turned out to be a good President and good for the planet to the extent that he has been allowed too.
I'm pleased he has refrained from putting 'boots on the ground' in Syria as that job should be left to the local neighbours (with a little help from US etc slippers)

May the season of peace and goodwill do just that in the years to come.....

"...With Trump seemingly prepared to throw in America's lot with Russia, it seems possible the biggest winners will be the most dangerous regimes. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said Trump may be a "natural ally." The Syrian people, meanwhile, are being massacred by a Syrian regime propped up by Iran, Russia and the terrorist group Hezbollah. Trump, who says he wants to focus only on destroying ISIS, may end up throwing America's weight behind the axis of destruction in Syria. But if he helps Assad win, he will only have strengthened Iran, a country he claims he wants to get tougher with..." (CNN)

Mr Trump hasn't a clue! Most likely his way will mean even more US personnel returning home in body bags with even more terrible death, destruction and maiming of innocent men, women and children. Trump will further the destabilisation of the Middle East and more than likely give rise to even more nuts. Truth is, ISIS are actually being defeated both in Syria and Iraq in a manner that also helps prevent innocent civilian causalities. The American forces on the ground, along with others, have enabled and assisted such a plan. Hopefully those military advisors around a President Trump will get him to see sense before and not after the event!

Every time I hear or think 'body bags' this usually come to mind...
