Hello From Australia... It's been Summer here while my home in Massachusetts has already seen enuff of Winter. sometimes ya get the best of both worlds, sometimes not so much. It's been a lovely tour and Sarah Lee, Johnny and I are about half way thru our little tour down here. The folks have been gracious and happy (most of the time) at the gigs. No complaints for our part.

Life is moving us along as it tends to do one day follows another, until it doesn't. As I write this I'm almost as far south as I guess I will ever be, except for the next few days when we do a festival where it'll be a little cooler - Good because it's been in the 90s F here and that's a little over my comfort zone.

Anyway, I just wanted to check-in with everyone here at arlonet and wish you all a great Spring - Comin' right up! See you somewhere,

adg

Hey Arlo,

Just saw you in concert at the Octagon Perth. Awesome. You know there were so many that did not know you were playing and would have loved to see you. You could have filled that place 10 times over.

Anyhow - you were the one who started me playing guitar back in the early 70's. I am so glad I finally got to hear you play live. Man I miss those days. If I could turn back time....

What happened to this world. I lived in Buzzards Bay Mass. in the early 80's and should never have left in retrospect. I think New Englanders are probably the coolest people I have ever met.

I am still playing and writing but sometimes get a little jaded at the lack of empathy I witness. I still try to live the "hippie" phylosophy. Hearing you play live bought me a peace I have not had since I didn't have a cent in the bank. Thank you for reminding me once again what reality is. Love and peace. Tim.

Hi Arlo,

Have just been to your concert at the Octagon Theatre in Perth. It was nothing short of brilliant and fantastic to see Sarah Lee and Johnny on stage. I loved every second of it - please keep Australia on your future concert schedules :D

One day still follows another, I am glad for that.

Sounds pretty happy. Glad for that.

Last show we went to was Berkeley, Ca. way back in the Fall of '07. Saw the Mammals for the first time. Glad for that.

Will be attending the Friday, April 19th show in Davis, Ca. Glad for that.

Looks like the Davis show falls in what seems to be the eaisest stretch of this long tour, as Berkeley, Davis, Napa, and Livermore are all less than 100 miles apart.

Glad For that.

Glad that there is much to be glad for.

Plato said Gratitude is the parent of all other spiritual principles. You are correct as usual Doug, there is so much to be glad for. All we really get, feeling-wise, are glad, sad, mad, and afraid. The last three, especially when combined, make for a nasty cocktail. But GLAD is the only one which we can experience all by itself with none of the others mixed in. I'm so glad for that.
