so how was it? always a treat, i know...but still, with steven colbert, he (s.c.) is like opposite world or something :)

It was really quite good -- interesting interview, lots of humor on both sides, and Pete sang "Quite Early Morning". It's available online:

The show really was great. Pete is just amazing (always has been, but just keeps getting more amazing) and was quite funny. Colbert was clearly awed and honored to be in Pete's presence.
