We are getting the and have gotten the heat too in VA. I can't complain about it because I remember freezing in 50 degree or below temps and wishing it was summer. :)

Hey Cheryl,LOL if anyone complains about winter its me :P.I could live with the heat, but it would be nice though if actually cooled at night as it should.
Big concern here is the drought,I dont think I,ve ever seen it so bad here.We went from the winter grey to a couple weeks of green to everything being a nice burned and dead yellow and orange.Trees are dropping dead, brown leaves, the grass is said to be "dormant" The only thing doing well in is garlic.
The farmers are once again taking the brunt of it with many selling livestock as they can't afford to buy feed rather then grow it as they usually do.Most have already fed their livestock what little they have harvested which should be winter feed.Food prices are going to go nuts.

So hot enough for ya?
The rain was short lived here, only lasted a few minutes but probably more then we have had all summer, really hoping there is more to come.

Not hot enough here! We've got only 74°F and some rain in the evening.

Hope the folks in Colo like Wyld are safe. There's a drought here in the US too. I saw on the news about corn crops being damaged because of it.

Yes hope Wyld and others are safe.
We have had a little bit of rain here and a couple of cooler days.July was the driest ever on record here.Even though I am in middle of city I am surrounded by a farm,it is a government reasearch facility. They have given up on most of their crops of corn, wheat, soy etc and harvested what they could and are plowing and tilling the rest.
Someone has tipped off the geese and some are here eating what there is to eat left in the fields about 2 months early.

No danger of mosquito or deerfly bites today...Frostbite is a real danger though a low today of -19 F and -39 F with windchill, the coldest capital city in the world today.Cold enough to freeze the nuts off a steel bridge
So how is everyone and how is your weather?
