Don't let the futures disappear or there will be no presents.

The ONLY control we have over the future lies in the choices we make today. Present moment behavior! The fundamental problem is the mindset that chooses to stray too far away from RIGHT NOW.

The article from the link is not a mainstrean scientific article, but there's some accuracy about especially Nikola Tesla in it. Tesla's "experiment" was more of an accident and has been blown into hyperbola. Can you prove there is never intervention from the future? Even mainstream scientists like Stephen Hawking believe time travel is no longer a mere possibility, nor is it a probabilty but an innevitability. It is no longer a matter of "if," but a matter of when.

Yes, there is good evidence that "future" events can and do influence the present. But I wasn't referring to quantum physics; I was talking about state of mind and the best way to live our lives.

different strokes for different folks... hoping we don't have one :P

NK,

Some of us are "mission" oriented. I've grown to be like that. I suppose if I sacrifice my now so we all can have a future, succeed or fail, does that make me a bad dude? If God made your life so simple and joyous as to be riding that Norton wherever you like, open a picnic lunch by a Magnolia tree and just sit back picking out shapes in the clouds, be happy. A thief stole my deepest happiness in 1979. There is only one way I can get it back... probably.

In the meantime, a little yard sign in this town "Guthrie Construction" (... did this job...) nagged at me to seek out Arlo. I did. My mission here? I'm not sure, but I keep seeing this vision of a certain church with a sound studio in it floating on top of a billion recycled pop bottles... Sounds nuts, but maybe not as nuts as trying to record an album while wearing scuba gear...

Good or bad? I'm no judge. I think we're all good AND bad. That's the state of human be-ing. Spiritually imperfect and perfectly broken. But you wrote, "I suppose if I sacrifice my now so we all can have a future....." - and I don't believe it has to be a mutually exclusive condition. One can be present in the moment WHILE making a journey toward........something.

Oh, and BTW Doc, I don't ride a Norton. That's just my last name. Rode a Triumph back when. People out on the roads are too f*%&ing crazy these days. Now I ride a nice big blue pick-em-up truck 8)

And you believe that type of thinking does otherwise? A fireman is just that because to fight nature is a challenge. "Subdue the earth" in its raw meaning.

Doc asked if we could prove intervention from the future?

I believe Steve Miller's song about that child in ''Your Saving Grace'' that tomorrow had come a long, long way to help.

http://youtu.be/47mPt3kJjvs

Is that the new way he sings about in Space Cowboy?

http://youtu.be/rI3SNrmOcPA

Would bet my soul its part of it.
