That's my new year contribution to help keep things confusing. But, yes it's a fairly distilled version of something you'd usually have to go to school for - all in one little post! Hope it helps. Next is Guitar Camp! So, boys and girls - ..... adg

You distill better than I do, adg. I try to explain too much.

The ghost of Harlan Howard visits me on GroundHog's Day Eve and tells me the spirits of three chords will visit me. I think I'm going to see my past, present and future and instead they all drag me to the same living room for an all nighter by the the Holy Modal Rounders. So far, no joy. I'm still going to hell which is a new spacious mall filled with 25 different bands who play 20 minute sets in consecutive 18 minute intervals.

That's a question of style. You can do whatever you want as long as you do it in the same time it takes to do what I wrote.

Now there is a cool idea. :)

Seems to me people have been doing stuff like that in the Berkshires for many a summer moon.

Music Camp! I've spent some time at a couple, and the instruction I got from some people (this was for Irish Fiddle) wasn't nearly as good or understandable as this...big thanks to Arlo for spending some of his time on us!

I had this dream just before I came up there of being at a camp where Sarah Lee was running it and Arlo and family would come and do certain sessions. They were teaching all the topics of playing, writing and studying folk. All the musicians I knew were attending. It seemed to be taking place on property adjacent to the Church, all outside, some sheds for eating, that sort of thing.

Nice dream.

Sounds like a neat dream. I've dreamed about Arlo like going to concerts and things. I've had dreams before where I went to the church and saw Arlo there & had a wonderful time. Then I woke up disappointed it was all a dream...

I've heard tell somewhere that you can wake up and have a song there waiting for you. The sandman as a muse.......go figure. :D
