O.J. Simpson was sentenced to 15 years in prison today for his role in the armed hotel room invasion he was involved in in Las Vegas.
It's comforting to know that in this country, one can get away with murder, but don't even THINK of trying to steal something!!!!!!!!

I heard speculation this morning that, for his safety, he'd be in isolation. Any word on that?

I've felt since OJ's other trial that it was all up to a jury of our peers. Hey but just maybe we will all get sick of the truth this land is making. Why do we defend it so much?

The results of a jury of our peers is not the always truth per se but rather a consensus reality we are bound to accept as justice served.

At least don't think about it if you're poor. There are plenty of poor folks doing more time for stealing a pack of cigarettes than the thieves of huge corporations and Wall Street will ever see.
And O.J.'s problems are, to me, like a really bad hangover: self-inflicted!!!

From your lips to God's ears, as a dear friend in NJ often says.

Even for O.J., wouldn't putting him in with Bush and Cheney be considered cruel and unusual punishment???

I just saw this in the news--Arnie, are you OK????

Man eats 7 pounds of latkes to win NY contest
From Associated Press
December 22, 2008 12:13 AM EST

LAKE GROVE, N.Y. - That's a lot of latkes. A man has downed 46 of the potato pancakes in eight minutes to win a contest at a Long Island deli.

Things like this make one wonder if Alberto Gonzales or Ken Starr might be working in Africa now?
