I'd love the chords to this gorgeous Pete song played by Arlo and Sarah Lee over the years!

What also works:

D Bm Em A

D EmA D

The Em and A in the second line are done very close together...

(D)Yet I was (Em)ne(A)ver alone
Or:

(D)And I was (Em)not (A)far from home

The song is found on Arlo's Outlasting the Blues CD, here is the link to the RSR store and product info:

And it's on Pete's "Rainbow Race" album (1970ish) -- I think that's the first recording of it -- but that's probably not too helpful since it's an LP and out of print...looks like a more recent version by Pete is downloadable from Appleseed Records (from "The Songs of Pete Seeger," volume 3 -- http://www.appleseedmusic.com/peteseeger/seeds.html )

If you don't have Outlasting The Blues or the Arlo & Pete album, you'll have to get those. They are good ones...

Stephanie, Thanks for making up that playlist. It's beautiful.
My isn't isn't interesting how everyone has matured through
the years? All of us...

Beautiful song, one of my favorites as well, nice to listen to
each version, Muppets included.

Linda
