With only a few gigs left on the other side of the world, I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the year-long SOLO TOUR tunnel. It's been great down here with good friends and adventures. Not really looking forward to the trek home so much as arriving there. Talk about long flights, this is gonna be a seriously challenging series of seemingly never-ending planes and terminals.

On the other hand, it ain't like the old days when it took months to sail around, so I'm not complaining too much :) Maybe I'll just sleep thru the whole thing...

In addition I find some of the signs down under somewhat misleading...

Yeah, enjoy the winter in Australia while you can! it's HOT here!
I remember getting home from the 24-plus hours in transit when we went to Australia...we got home, and had Wolf Trap tickets to see Willie Nelson that night. Jim and I both had a LOT of trouble staying awake for the concert, even tho Willie was terrific!

Long flights? never ending series of planes and terminals? Just maybe, this would be a good opportunity to volunteer to enter one of those time tunnels that come up to meet the plane? I mean, it might make the trip a lot shorter. What the hell, it's worth a try!

Australians really like to know the shortest way to a nice cold beer. :)
Are you really sure that you are in Australia? :?
Maybe if you chew on some eucalyptus leaves during the flight home you can take a nice relaxing nap just like the little coala and without "chicken frying everywhere around the plane"

Ok, on second thought forget the "Time Tunnel" idea. I was watching a tv show about the "Time Tunnel", and these two poor guys that was trying to shorten their trip met face to face with the likes of Atilla the Hun, aliens from the future and Billy the Kid. I don't think they have it perfected yet.

Arlo have a safe trip home. I have made the same trip back from OZ a couple of times myself and it is definately a brutal flight. Being a not so small guy it seemed like I could never get an isle seat and would always get stuck in the midle of other not so small people like myself. Makes for a very uncomfortable flight. In any case Looking forward to seeing your show in Lowell this summer. I am glad that you have several gigs in my area, NH, this year.If I miss one I atleast have a chance of catching another one. I just got to make sure that I don't miss all of them. :)
