Nah, you was just younger, which is almost the same thing!
But if you need to be out of your mind to do shows, please stay crazy. :D

weird, yeah... i'm getting flashbacks...and i'm gonna share them....

most unusual concert...so far...(i'll do my best, Dave)

1982 August ? Chester, Mass with Shenandoah

it was the town barbecue ... a really, really small town but what a great day...grills grillin, beer chillin, hot sun and dancing and singin in front of the stage...maybe 100 people... yeah, stay crazy then, Arlo...

late 70's-early 80's 1 January Woody's, Washington, MA 12 midnight

appeared from the crowd to sing Massachusetts at midnight with Shenandoah who was doing the show that night...
i was there with a group friends lived in the Berks back then and we were talking to parts of Shenandoah and adg came by to say goodnight to them...he was leaving the early the next morning for California to record... turned out to be Power of Love... that should name the year for someone...;)..

Found a couple of stubs:

1981-8-17/Valley Forge (Philadelphia area), PA/ Valley Forge Music Fair/ with David Bromberg
1982-7-21/ same placeand with david Bromberg again
1983-8-15/ same place and with David B.
1984-7-17/ same place

Sadly that venue no longer exists. It had that great revolving stage. I'm sure there was a date or two or three there in the few years earlier. I remember that's where I learned about clampoons. Went there with my 7th grade music teacher which would make it about '77 or '78.
Could be wrong, but I think after the music fair closed is when the Philadelphia dates went to the Keswick.

I hope/think I have the date right! I don't have the ticket stub but I remember seeing Arlo and hearing Presidential Rag for the first time...right after Nixon resigned! Wonderful night with my brother and his/my friend Kevin!

That sounds like a cool show. Back then I knew of Arlo but wasn't yet a fan. My first Arlo show was Wolftrap Park in 1989...

I remember seeing Arlo in 1979 or 1980 in a dive bar in Browns Mills NJ. It was right after Outlasting the Blues came out.

Browns Mills huh? Ain't that the town that Orson Wells made famous in 1938 when the Martians landed there? And some people think we have an alien problem THESE days!

No....wait, that was Grover's Mill I think.......but I'll bet the Martians got to Browns Mills too. I think they was doing a New Jersey Mills tour.....I'll consult my H.G.Wells handbook......

It was Grover's Mill, a community that has since been annexed by West Windsor Township, New Jersey

PS - Is there a way to post the actual pic here instead of just a link? I've tried the link called "Add image to post" with no luck. If so please PM me.
