RSR has just released the Alice's Restaurant Massacree- 40th Anniversary on Apple's iTune Music Store. We made it as cheap as possible - Under $2 (cheap). So if you have access to iTunes and you want a beautifully recorded version recorded 2006, help us move it up the food chain by adding it to your collection! It's probably the last one we're doing. Add a review if you like it. It helps. Happy Everything as usual... And thanks for your continued support!

Maybe its time for the children to step up and carry on the tradition. :D They got nine years to learn it.

I think it will need to be sung for another forty years although I wish its sentiment would transform from reality to nostalgia!

Alice's Restaurant (40th Anniversary) was the first song I put on the ipod shuffle I got for Xmas from my wife--I wrote a review as well & hope more people will enjoy it as well as the rest of Arlo's offerings on itunes.

I have a front row seat for the concert in Bellingham, WA :) Now a friend tells me that you are no longer singing "Alice's Restaurant" in concert :( Please say it isn't so! I've waited over 40 years to hear you sing this in concert!

Carole: I just saw the folkslinger in Gainesville, FL, and your friend is indeed misinformed. You'll know he's about to do Alice's when Sarah Lee and Johnny start making tracks to leave the stage for a break!

Thanks, everyone. I was so disappointed when my friend told me that. This concert is at the end of my birthday week (at my age I get a whole week :) So I want it to be special, and hearing Arlo sing "Alice's Restaurant" will make it special :)

CaroleMay, you fit right in around here--the birthweek celebration is more usual than the birthday, and longer ones have been known to occur. I predict that you'll have an evening that can't be beat!

I'm sure I will! And I figure once you hit 50, you're entitled to a week's celebration. When I hit 60, I'm going to celebrate for a month :)
