Here's another link that talks more about George and his current health status / prognosis, along with a half a ton of related links.
http://www.geocities.com/abbeyrdwebmaster/news/709georgenewcancer.html

Ringo's daughter, Lee, is also being treated for a brain tumor, her second in 6 years. Don't know if it's cancer or not.

Levi's link included this:
>To send George a get-well card, send it c/o Apple, 27 Ovington Square, London, SW3 1LJ, England<

I dont' think I'll send a get-well card, since he isn't going to do that, but maybe a thank-you card. George is another who shaped us and our world into something better and whose music makes us shine.

Thanks, Levi.

Good idea, sending a Thank-You card, Cea. Indeed, there's sure a lot to be thankful to Mr. Harrison for.

Ringo and Barbara lived in the building next door, the last time I lived in Manhattan, in the apartment adjacent to mine.

Two brain tumors in six years has got to be awfully worrisome, bothersome, scary and -- cancerous or no -- certainly a parent's worst nightmare. Right up there in the top 10, at least. This can't be much fun for Lee, either.

Has the whole world gone mad? Geez.

Well, it's over now and he's at peace, certainly. 1:30pm on Thursday. God rest his soul. Thanks, George. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A37384-2001Nov30.html

Thanks for the link muffy. Although it's very sad, he lived a good life and I'm happy for him to be out of suffering and onto better things now. Thank you indeed, George.
Peace

Oh my so sorry to hear about this. It's prompted me to dig out a few of my old Beatles records & play them right now. It's like my youth has officially ended. At least he isn't suffering any more. I never dreamed the Beatles (2 of them) would die so soon. The very first movie I ever went to see was A HARD DAYS NIGHT in 1964 at the Beacon Theatre. Theatres been closed for yrs but they hope to re-open it for shows sometime in the future. I was crazy about the Beatles in the 60's & early 70's. I woke up Mike for a minute to tell him as I kenw he'd want to know... I just noticed I had a Beatles calendar from 1990 still up here in the den. So I went over & turned it to a month that had a picture of George on it. In memory... Peace & God bless. He's up there singing with Woody... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Thank you, Muffy. Also, from msnbc:
>Harrison’s family has released a statement saying, "He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, ‘Everything else can wait, but the search for God cannot wait, and love one another.’ "<

All things must pass...

But the love that George showed the world can live on through those who loved him.

Thank you George, for helping to show me what love is.
