Well, I normally don't do this - but what the heck...

As some may have gathered, I'm trying to move to a more unified layout for the site, and it's headed towards the forums being the centerpiece. One it just makes things easier to maintain. So, here's a sneak peek at the developing home page...

http://www.arlo.net/homepage.php

Of course it will have the announcements and tour dates as well... But now my question is, what else would you like to see on the home page?

Yes, my goal is to move everything over somehow! Who knows, maybe the old RBR's will even make a return...

That would be really cool. Might inspire that guy to write a few more...

My god, haven't we lived through the Hell of more than one website overhaul??? Oh, the horror!!

(Have fun Wiz, i'll try to look at what you've done in the near future. I've been missing this place while studying the 'Faces')

I've hated the current framed design for far too long.

I agree, down with the frames! :)

I like everything except the scrolling ticker at the top. Perhaps if it contained new stories? Say links to articles, etc..

Love the photo/video strip.

You might want to consider some facebook social plugins? http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Looking good! Thanks for all your hard work. The new 45 sleeves were neat. I'd never seen those before. :)

Wow, I managed to find something Cheryl had never seen before! LOL

I kinda liked the scroll of the "Thought Provoking Thoughts" but also figured that was largely just a matter of taste. I had thought about somehow tying in some FB content - thanks for the link Jafo, should prove useful. Jackie's videos strip is something I ended up writing myself, it was a fun little project.

Hey, Dave, you missed one...Arlo sang "The Jolly Beggarman" with Liam Clancy on Cherish the Ladies' CD, "The Girls Won't Leave the Boys Alone"

Oh, yeah...there's another. Check on the Woody Guthrie Archives website...they're offering a CD of Arlo and Wenzel from a concert in 2006, called "Every Hundred Years: Arlo Guthrie & Wenzel, Live Auf Der Wartburg"
