Seeing Bumper around these here parts made me think of Sarah Lee---what else?

When her 1st CD, Sarah Lee Guthrie, came out, I picked up a copy, as did many of you. I liked most of the songs, was indifferent to some of 'em, but generally thought it was a good debut.

I had read a review of the CD where the reviewer said that the CD was "eponymous." I thought, well there's a fancy word that doesn't sound too nice. Immediately, I fired off a nasty letter to the reviewer, stating that if the CD wasn't perfect, it was a solid debut, that we're talking about a young lady with not much experience in the music business, etc., & it was one thing if he didn't like it, but getting nasty & calling it "eponymous" was totally uncalled for.

It may be old news, but I just wanted ya'll to know that I'm doing my part.

Reading this has just reminded me I have a copy!! I really do have far too many CDs & LPs. Any way I liked it all, I couldn't get hold of a copy over here so I had to wait till I got to the church. I really liked Jonny's CD as well, just remembered I've got that one too.

Just remembering I have them I'm going to dig them out and listen to them tomorrow. (Isn't it great when to remember or find a album you fortgot you have, it's like getting a new album all over again.)

There's no such thing as too many LP's or CD's! I liked Johnny's CD an awful lot, too, & I had to laugh about your remark about rediscovering new albums in your collection---I do that all the time!

When I was on a safari in Africa many years ago our riverboat was almost capsized by an eponymous. How this relates in any way to SLG's cd or the review of it, I have no idea, but I thought it worth a mention.

Hey Larry, Im with you!! I saw some eponymouses on the African Safari boat ride at Disneyland in 1964 and it was in March. Fairdinkum!!! I was 9 years old and I have it on film so there is proof to show the Doubters!!!
Your sister in belief in eponymouses, Louise.
