...at least as we know it? Are businesses really that hard up for customers?

Haven't had much internet time in the last couple days or so, but yesterday at the office I made a couple of quick visits to the Arlo forums.

The first time, I noticed that the newest registered member was somebody named Mortgage. That's an odd name, I thought. I, like many of you, am still paying on my mortgage but prefer not to celebrate this fact on the internet. Or maybe, I thought, his real name is Mort Gage. So I clicked on his profile. There was no info at all there cept for a link to a web site. I took a look at it & it was a mortgage company's site.

I checked the forums again later in the day, & the newest registered member was somebody named ford_truck. I checked his profile, & same thing, nothing but a web site, this one about Ford trucks.

I look forward to meeting future members Master Card, Viagra, & Post Toasties.

p.s. suggestion to Wyld, I just finished 'Ramblin' Man' by Ed Cray, so if youre in need of a book, it has some GREAT insight! Altho, some of it was difficult to be believed...., well at least for me! enjoy

Yah.. that's a great idea, Ruthie... I had picked up Ramblin' Man at the library a couple of months ago...on seven day non-renewable loan... got about a third of the way thru it. I never went back to borrow it again. Once I'm finished with my moving, I'll pick it up again!

Hey... we have to start thinking about the Blunderite Book Club again soon too! when the weather starts to chill....

Wyld, Sure do like the idea of a Blunder Book Club! Since finishin' 'Ramblin' Man', I was wonderin what now??? So I went & bought a copy of 'Jewel' by Brett Lott, about a mom in the '30s who gave birth to a special needs baby, in the south. She has no one to turn to etc,, anyway its a GREAT read as well. Try it out & lemme know, when ya have the time! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

I'm always up for the BBC, but do we have to have cool or cold weather for it? I don't think we can oblige down here. We'll have to borrow some weather.

Thanks for a laugh Wyld!! Book Club, uh oh..
You've all got me addicted to Arlonet and Group W already!!! Now a BOOK CLUB!!!
ARGGGGGHHHH!!!!(THE COURIER-MAIL,BRISBANE, Nov.7th 2004."MISSING WOMAN FOUND!" In the quiet semi-rural area 1 hour north of Brisbane, locals became suspicious when they had not seen Louise for several months."No one had seen her for months, not her family or workmates." said a neighbour. She was found hunched over her computer babbling something about Mooses blundering around on some sort of bench and rescuing someone named Arlo. Her husband was found locked in the barn with all the animals and 6 months worth of food and water. "She got a little upset when I hinted that she was maybe spending a little too much time on the NET." husband John explained. "We are on dial-up ya know." "By the way"asked the reporter, "Who's this Arlo guy?"
John just looked at her, rolled his eyes and sighed, and uttered those words so well known to Blunderites.. "Remember Alice???"
