Ruthie, if you're getting a busy signal, just use your redial feature and go for hours if necessary.

If you're getting the machine, it can't hurt to leave a message saying something like, "I have no idea what hours someone's there... can you PLEASE call me back so I can order tickets?"

Maybe even write a check and drop it in the mail to The Guthrie Center with a letter stating your phone number.

Then again, an email might also work <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Thanks, Ruthie, for not holding my heritage against me (too much). It's true, I'm a tea-sipper (went to the U. of T. in Austin). And now I live in Dallas. But does it help that I always root for whomever is playing against the Longhorns or (cover your eyes, Dave and Jay) the Cowboys?

Ceashel, OH you betcha, darlin', Anyone who roots against the shorthorns, IS most definatly a very SPECIAL person!! Heck, I lived in Austin, waay back in the late 70s, & had the BEST time of my life tthere!! lots of great & FREE music in Zilker park, & I loved the sleezey bars!(only if I went w/my brother & friends!) When did you attend U. Of Tx? I HAD to move back north of the Red River, cuz I just had TOO much fun down there & didnt pay much attn to work or rent etc.!!! Oh the drive out Farm Rd 2222 way back then was one of my greatest memories! Mt Bonnell<(sp??) way great & I have the great pleasure of being KICKED outta the State Capitol Bldg. @ approx 2a.m., my friend & I went into the MENS bathroom, lookin for our male counterparts, when a rent-a-cop, tossed us out!, so we decided it would be a good idea to run thru the sprinklers, but by the time we got back to the car, wet & very cold, we tied our clothes to the attenea of the car! I do love Austin, but NOT the football guys! So, thanks fer rootin' against 'em, they got enough fans! & the SOONERS rock!!!(well now anyway)! didja get my e-mail? & thanks 4 yours! If ya ever want to go down to Austin, let me know & we'll meet in Dallas, I haven't been down there for far too many yrs, & have a hankerin' to go! Ya'll take it E-Z! & 'talk' to ya'll soon!
ruthie baby!

Ruthie, I was in Austin from 1972 to 1979. It was a magical time. But then this friend, Jay (Cliffite), wouldn't move to Austin, so I had to move to Dallas. It was the best trade I ever made in my life, even if Dallas is a conservative sinkhole. (Jay says I'm wrong--it's a conservative stinkhole.)

There's a folk festival in Kerrville in early September, Arlo will be in College Station in March, then the big Kerrville Folk Festival in June, then WoodyFest again...I think there could be a Blunderite contingent to at least some of these. (Stew, Sids-Kids, Bobbi, others--???)

(This probably should be in Moose Friends Network, but here we are. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/axe.gif" width=39 height=20> )

Edited to say, Louise: try to think 2006, 2006, 2006!
