Howdy Blunder Buddies,
Thanks to Ceashel for your kind redirection to this forum & my apoligies for postin' in the wrong place! So I'm hoping this IS the correct place! If not, I'm counting on ya'll to lemme know!
But I still believe that even tho, there IS great music going on ALL week, in Okemah, 'the powers that be' should'nt screw around with the old line up on Saturday night. There are quiet a lot of folks who just can't be there all week, no matter how much they wanna be there! And Sat. night WAS the one night to count on seeing all your favorite music in one place. I just wish they hadn't changed the line up & hope they realize by next year, it just was't a great idea.

Thanks for your help
ruth

Ruth, I didn't mean you were in the wrong place; was just hoping you would find your way to the Fan Base forums, also. I'm glad you did!

I bet the road trip would beautiful, if one has the time! I can tell (even tho you are from Texas) what an extremely nice person you must be!Until ya wanna visit again! Take care &

Hi, Ruthie. I've done the roadtrip from PA to AZ (2 years ago) and it was wonderful. It wasn't to see Arlo, tho. I highly recommend road-tripping sometime.

Hi Terrie, Yes I'd absolutly love to take the ROAD TRIP back east. When I was a WEE youngster, my folks along w/6 YES SIX kids would pile into an unaircondioned staton wagon,w/o seat belts & head from N.E. OKLA to Greenville S.C. I remember seeing some beautiful sites, goin thru the Smokie Mnts. was great! We'd always see bears comin' down to the cars beggin' for food! There were countless arguments, but 40 yrs later, all I remember is all the fun stuff! So will you be at The Church this Fall? I sure hope I can make it!
Be Well
Ruth

Welcome, Ruthie!

Ceashel was right to direct you here, as the Group W bench is "where it's at," to borrow an expression from the 60's. The Arlo forums are very nice, too, don't get me wrong, as everybody here probably started out there before they got here, but often there ain't much to say there once you've posted to all the threads with titles like "Your Favorite Arlo Song" or "Your Favorite Arlo Album" or "Hey, Arlo, Come to My House & Perform 'Alice's Restaurant' in My Living Room." The Arlo forums are cool, as I said, but soon one does find oneself posting here a lot more often.

Soooooo...Have fun!

Ruthie, from the Resources section of the site, in the left menu, choose Guthrie Center and mark down their phone number. Call there for tickets.

ruthie.. the number is 413-528-1955. call soon, any tickets left will be gone quickly. the october church gigs are very popular! also, make sure you talk to a live person, don't just leave a message.

Yes, Deb's right, tickets do go quickly. The reason why I didn't look up the number for you was because my first instinct was to show you the resources, so that you could learn your way around the site and see what it has to offer.

i'm glad you're finding your way around, ruthie and i'll keep my fingers crossed that you get those tickets tomorrow! i certainly didn't mean to step on your lesson, terrie. it's just after all these years of being involved with the GC, the number is imprinted on my brain and i wanted ruthie to have it right away so she could make the call.
