So you're saying it's chilly up there? I guess our complaints here about a period of temps in the low twenties and teens isn't going to impress you one bit, is it? I think the proper repsonse for "Cold enough for ya?" is "It isn't the heat, it's the humidity."

Ok, what the hell are all you strange people doing to my gnuspaper made out of electrons?
Geez, I leave it empty for a while and you all start making and reporting your own gnus!
Nate, you and I better cut it out before the confused people that don't know that they are confused people, unlike the rest of us that are aware of our state of confusion, think we are serious or something.

Special (if not late) State of The Union Edition:

After careful thought and reflection, we have decided to comment on the president's state of confusion....err, we mean union speech.

Dear Editor:

I must object to your recent editorial, how dare you call the State of The Union Address "Bullshit"?

For your information, bull shit is usefull, it can help plants grow, hell it could even be turned into snow for the folks of oz, bull shit is way better then the address was and I think you should rethink your post.

Perhaps bull fart would be better, as it gives the bull great pleasure but makes all those around him somewhat sick.....

Thank you for your excellent paper as it is the number one source of my world view.

Yours Truly
The Tennesse Stick Man

seems simple to me..
american people want to be told something....keeps our "chattering monkey mind" from talking to it's self.
the majority hear what they want to hear and so they feel 'informed'...
the rest do not hear just what they expected NOT to hear....so they feel on top of it also.
to me...no more informative than a movie review.......i still can't decide if i want to go see it.....hmmmm.

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the
moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important
person which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPRISE,
the man who wrote the song "The Hokey Pokey," died peacefully
at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting
him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in -- and then the trouble started.

Dear Men's Health Issues Editor,

I have a question, Last Night after my monthly bath, I placed my hands on my hips while looking into the mirror and I noticed that my fingers did not meet near my belly button as they once did when I was a teenager.

Suddenly it came to me, I am suffering from some kind of age related problem, could this be, Male-Mini-Paws? Could you advise me as to just how small my paws might get? Is there anyway to reverse the illness, I sure would like for my fingers to touch once more.

Oh no, I just looked down and I noticed that I can't see so much of my toes as I once did either, this must be Male Mini Paws, so what do I do?

Please reply real soon,

Short Finger in Tennessee

Dear Short Finger,

The simple solution to your problem is to have the next little kid that you tell to"pull my finger" pull harder than is normal.

The Editor.

This just in, overheard at in airport waiting area;

Three surgeons were arguing as to which had the greatest skill.
The first began: "Three years ago, I reattached seven fingers on a pianist. He went on to give a recital for the Queen of England."
The second replied: "That's nothing. I attended a man in a car accident. All his arms and legs were severed from his body. Two years after I reattached them, he won three gold medals for field events in the Olympics."
The third said: "A few years back, I attended to a cowboy. He was high on cocaine when he drove his truck head-on into an oncoming freight train. All I had to work with was the horse's ass and a ten gallon hat. Last year, that man became president of the United States of America!"
