I was sat at the kitchen table once and heard a thunderous bang on the window. It didn't brake and couldn't work out what it was, I went to look and saw a pigeon sat in the yard looking at me, I then noticed a smudged pigeon print on the window! above the point where I had some beans drying in a tray on the windowsill

Actually it's our cat. I'd put her out in the sunroom. She loves to climb to the highest point in any room and she'd got up on a room divider I'd built several years ago. My wife saw her through a crack in the shade, so I opened the shades and got this photo.
Speaking of bangs on windows, she's set off our burglar alarms a couple of times by slapping at something on the other side of a window. The glass break sensor picks it up. That WILL wake you up!

My last home had french doors that opened onto a veranda. I was feeding a stray cat and walked by one evening, and low and behold a possum and three little ones were looking through the window into my home..... they were adorable. they also liked the cat food, as did many other critters.
