My favorite charity is The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation. The name pretty much says it all: these folks go into impoverished areas and plant fruit trees. It feeds hungry people while helping the environment. Everybody wins!

I honestly can not say I have one specific favorite charity. I'll support some and in simple ways. I suppose being a member of a more permanent community rather than being as transient as I've been over the years makes supporting any one charity easier.

God save me from indifference.

I don't care too much for charities, though we do raise money for relay for life and also for a friend who has a child with a chromosome 18 abnormality so we raise money with them for that cause. My wife and I prefer to help people one on one. There are so many people in need just in our small circle of friends and family, and I believe that is the way it is most everywhere. I am at a point in my life where I have more than I need, and there is nothing more satisfying in the world then to share that with those who are not so fortunate. Sometimes I almost feel a little guilty that I take so much pleasure out of it lol.. So my favorite charity out there I guess then would be me.
