Agnes, I went to your link and the vid was removed!

Anyway do love Celtic instrumentals and, unrelated, Pat Metheney. But my favorite Joni Mitchell story is from the late 70's. I was in grad school and living in a big rambling house on State Street in Ann Arbor, the kind that has 8 or 9 bedrooms and 15 or so occupants depending on who you want to live there. At the time, we were living "coopertively", new language for us , and we thought, yeah, this is cool, we will buy our grain and soap from the Ann Arbor Co-op and everyone living in the house pays the same to stock the pantry , etc. and eat. And we had this huge house so we also had a lot of big parties...
So getting on the crazies , we had a hanger on, who was like a lamp in our living room, and insisted that he was Joni Mitchell's inspiration for Miles of Aisles.

Agnes, sorry I didnt see the clip you posted .. those bastards is right!

But speaking of those clips and dreaming, (and I did love the acapella from the Motor City boys,) I would love to see a clip of any Celtic musicians who played at the Brotherhood on Nantucket, one of my favorite places on earth to escape to, just not between May and September. (Nanutcket got a black eye due to the Enron crook who planted his money there, but that is a different Island if you can get around all that, there is a peace there worth seeking. )

OH and wanted to mention I had Joni Mitchell's latest CD (about 8 months ago?) Love her and all the great music and mojo from the 70's, and all the ensuing jazz, but this CD is prety harsh. Good case for giving up the cancer sticks...

I love that song. Every rendition is different! He is incredible.

One of my favorite vocal performances is by the now-defunct Geyer Street Sheiks:

I never heard of those folks before but that video was neat. It sounded kinda gospel. I found this vid with a autoharp in it. I think it may be the Electric Prunes. Anyway it's neat 60's stuff:

I haven't thought of them in DECADES. Better than I remember, or maybe I appreciate music more now. I am too old to attempt to sort that memory stuff out! ;)
