so there we were, a handful of us gathered at a nearby school parking lot to witness the eclipse, passing around special glasses and such. two police cruisers nearby. moments after it reached peak darkness, just like that, the shift to lightness began and soon we were all on our way back to our regular day. as the police cruisers drove off you could hear playing within at least one of the two, pink floyd’s “dark side of the moon”.

:)

a while back on this site i remember a lady named gloria who showed up here in blunder chat. i didn’t know her very well really, but i alway remember billy b. making some crack (and i say “some crack” endearingly. we love you and miss you billy b.!) anyway, billy b. making some crack about our names, gloria and agnes, sounding like a couple of nuns. made me laugh and laugh. so sending a shout out to you gloria, cheers!

the sloe berry reminds me a wee bit of a persimmon in that it is made sweet and/or at its sweetest by the frost (a pre-frost persimmon will definitely draw up your mouth). would be curious to try a sloe berry with only the appropriate frost and no added sugar, etc.
