Warm up Jess Klein, wearing a 'Hello Boys' slip of a dress, a pair of 'No nonsense' cowboy boots, and some beautiful songs, was a Stunning! warm-up before the 'Kid' made his move.

Arlo: ('Here comes the Kid') - a 'Viagra' performance!!!

Theatre felt intimately pleasant, acoustics brill, full house with good mix of folks making for an arousing 'Arlo experience'. The audience reciprocated with warmth, nodding appreciation, joining-in and enthusiastic ' Woodstock' applause.

We really enjoyed both performers. Jess looked wow, warm and relaxed with her 'newly captured' audience. We are now interested in listening to some more of Jess's music. Arlo was Arlo on a 'Woodstock' night, an Alice's Restaurant' night, a 'Woody' night, a 'Jackie' night. My beautiful wife became a 'born-again' Arlo groupie - what a night!!!

The above may be interpreted as mere puppy adulation (it is!) but we did attend the 'Here comes the Kid' show September last in Co. Wexford which happened to be in a large tent, on a cool night with the audience perhaps a tad more conservative. Arlo, was great and did receive a good response. At The Button Factory turned out to be a perfect 'Arlo' emotionally atmospheric night in an imperfect world of unbelievers! A 'Viagra Performance' Arlo! Peace and hugs to all!!!!!

Hey Woodstock69. Sounds like a great night...oh to be in Ireland listening to Arlo. Wonder what the version for "This Land is Your Land" is in Ireland?! Glad you and your wife had such a wonderful time.

Hi "Glad to be here!" Thanks from both of us. The Irish version usually has "From Donegal to the Ring of Kerry" but there's probably a version for each wee field in Ireland!

I hope someone will let us know about the Belfast gig. One thing is for sure, Arlo's does ooze Peace, Love and understanding but making the grass greener on both sides of the fence at the same time is some feat to accomplish in my native city. If the 'Rice Crispies', 'Porridge Oats' and "Rainbow Muesli" would come together, sing and wave some Guthrie flags then maybe, just maybe the tribes would respond together with this beautiful, powerful song. Imagine all Ireland, without prejudice, singing the words "This Land was made for you and me!" and following it up with "My Peace".

Ha ha our banks sing it that way too! Love your sentiments and if anyone could pull it off, it would be Arlo! I live in NY, about 100 miles from Stockbridge, Mass. Have been there several times to see all sites related to "Alice's Restaurant". Was just curious, how do folks in Ireland become fans of Arlo's? We're still trying to educate the masses here on his incredible gifts, how did it travel across the pond?

In a circular sort of way, when I think about it, Arlo is taking folk music back home..........

Hi Glad,
Arlo may not walk on water and we probably would have heard about him sooner if he changed water into wine. But, he seems to have the power to shrink 'Ponds' and raise the dead. By his own admission, he can have 'out of the body experiences' on planes, travelled through Time & Space in at least one plane, and his rendition of 'Amazing Grace' is inspiringly divine!

I think 'it' ('Spirit of Woodstock'?) may have travelled across the pond bearing 'gifts' years ago and perhaps that was when folks here in Ireland heard of Arlo. It was Arlo at Woodstock that began our mystical journey.

Arlo's Mystical Journey began years before Woodstock, and he was so fortunate to have grown up around and within a kind of "royal" community of Folk Music, if such a thing could be said to exist. His evolutionary journey has taken him from being perhaps the ultimate personification of the mid to late 1960's hippie, to America's Native Son and heir apparent to the legacies of giants like his Father, Pete Seeger, Leadbelly, Cisco Houston and others, to becoming an ambassador of sorts and a true citizen of the globe. His story is an amazing and incredible one, and for me the best part is that it is still unfolding........where his journey takes him from here (and, by proxy, takes us) is anybody's guess but it will without a doubt be an awesome experience for all of us.

Lots of them and been to lots of shows. I remember a show in WV where it started raining which stopped the show. But they moved everything indoors and Arlo carried on.

Hard to choose a best show as they are all great. Arlo has sure seen and done alot in his lifetime.

Seems to have done a lot in your lifetime for you. We are all just passing through, bumping into to strangers but when an artist and performer such as Arlo caresses them old grey cells (Mine!) the magic has arrived. We have and do listen to all kinds of music and that's what makes this life seem and feel better even when shit happens. Even when we go into our darkest hour we can find succour in that which is the greatest gift of all and that's something the whole world needs right now. We can all enjoy listening to Arlo together no matter the Ponds between us because that's what Woody, Arlo & family and other beautiful people exhale. But Arlo isn't the only one to 'put flesh on them bones.' Pete's rendition of staying forever young is inspirational and beautiful.
