Great show last night. I saw it with my wife Susan and son Des. Des had most of the songs played on his ipod. He is 16, but like Arlo, Woody, and Dylan. I'm proud of him.

Arlo put on a great show - I loved that beautiful blue 12 string guitar. Arlo played the heck out it. He also played a ragtime piece he had written a long time ago. He said he was practicing it because his piano teacher was coming to one of his concerts, and he wanted to be ready.

Some of the songs were

The Motorcycle Song
Coming into Los Angeles
City of New Orleans
Leadbelly songs

This Land is Your Land - singalong
"My Peace" - by Woody - singalong closed out the show.

There was a great parody of the current financial crisis -

"gonna change my name to Fannie Mae - so I can standout and get a trillion dollar handout" - (words just paraphrasing - but the rhyme is right).

All in all - a great show and a good time was had by all!

ARLOOOOOOOO!

Welcome to the site! Sounds like a good show. It sounds similar to the Bethesda, MD show except he didn't do Fannie Mae...

Another great show. The set list was pretty much the same as Keswick with a few additions notably Haliewa Blues in the 1st set and Arlo's Rag, When A Soldier Makes It Home in the 2nd.

The Sherman is a great place to see a show. A old movie house, it is being lovingly restored. Can't wait to see it when it's done. The staff is very friendly and do a great job. The lighting was especially good for photography. I liked that they had the Burns Sisters on a raised platform so you could see them behind Abe. (At Keswick they were hidden behind Abe and Bromberg)

A tiring but fun week end. Carnegie next!

Both the Keswick and Sherman Theater are great places to see shows. I happened to make both shows this time. Managed to record both as well.

If you can do bittorrent, both my recordings are on etree

Good thing Haliewa Blues wasn't on the set list on Saturday... Too soothing for a long drive home. (Arlo's lullaby) ;)

Sorry I couldnt make it Ironman, (a tiring weekend??? is that what it's called??? LOL ) but glad you had a good time. I know you like the Sherman theatre & Stroudsburg in general - but lets face it - 99.99% of all venues are friendlier than Keswick.

By the way "Thaanks Jooohn" - hahahahahahahhahahahahaha!
