Thank you so much for the memory boost RegFaith!!! I got confused somehow (imagine that) and was thinking it was tomorrow night, and would have missed it without your timely reminder. It's 10:35; now I've just got to figure out how to remember it an hour from now.....

Pete was - as he always is - a force of nature. Getting the "sophisticated" and hip audience of David Letterman, to clap and sing along - with a wave of his hand.

He did Dr. King, which John and I saw him perform for the first time (It wasnt even finished because he (not really him but he took the blame for it) had lost some of the words on the train) at Clearwater with a bunch of local kids.

He was joined tonight with Tao, Guy Davis, Ruthie Unger (who looked beautiful) and bass player from the Mammals, I think his name is Jacob Silber.

I heard Paul Schaefer say "What an honor". We've seen Paul Schaefer in at least one audience of one of Arlo's show's at the Bottom Line back in '96, so I think he was quite sincere. (Closet folkie?)

Pete is truely amazing. His attitude of "we can change the world by singing, and have a lot of fun too" is totally infectious and blunderous. Pete, you the man!!!!!

If, like me, you managed to miss it, there is a clip on the Late Show site:

Great fun to watch.

I missed it because I was still helping with my son's move, and didn't get home until 1:00 am. I'm glad it was posted online; that was amazing! He sure can motivate a crowd!

The show on which Pete appeared is going to be repeated this Thursday, 10/23 -- so says the email newsletter I get now from the Letterman show, so I don't miss stuff like this.
