Arlo Guthrie with the ASO
http://www.alabamalive.com/entertainment/birmingham/May2000/5-x5arlo05.html

...
"The funny thing was," Guthrie says decades later, "I had
been telling this story about him teaching me this song for
years. But you know, if you tell a story for years,
eventually you don't know if it's just a story or if it's
true."

Then a couple of years ago, Guthrie's younger sister
Nora discovered an old 8mm home movie of father and
son sitting in the back yard, strumming the guitar and
singing "This Land is Your Land."
...

"We criss-cross the U.S. about four times a year," he
says. "It is so magnificent and so beautiful and has got
such great people everywhere that, I don't know if you
get to do this stuff twice, but in my next life, I want to do
it again."

I have started a folk column recently at http://www.themestream.com/gspd_browse/browse/view_column.gsp?column_id=8208
My latest story is about Arlo's stories. Please check them out and I'lm alwyas open to feedback. Also, I have folk trivia questions at the bottom of each story. Thanks,
Drew
