That is an adorable pic, Jacklyn is a cutie pie! I called the CVS in my hometown and they told me the November issue should be in tomorrow so before I go to the Church tomorrow night I am going to buy my copy, I can't wait the whole issue is a pure collector's item that I am not going to throw away.

Thanks for the reply - and I was so impressed with how kind and easy going Mr. Guthrie was. I was so nervous, to be near a great folk music legend, I even mis quoted Yonkers Girl by Don Mclean as one of his songs.

-- The story I wanted to recount was a concert I went to in about mid 1970's. Near Cleveland at Blossom Music Center an outdoor venue, I'll never forget while enjoying the show, the sight of Arlo Guthrie jamming with Pete Seeger While Pete layed flat on the stage with banjo in hand, listening to that music I only wish I could have half that much fun while at "work".

I was lurking on Grammy.com and came across this link:
http://www.grammy.com/Recording_Academy ... l_Of_Fame/
I did not know that Alice's Restaurant was inducted in 2002....Way too cool 8)

Next step is Arlo receiving a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.IMO he deserves one with all his hard work in a 40 year time span and still keeping the Guthrie legacy alive.....C'mon Grammy people lets get the ball rolling and get Arlo bouncing!(round the room hehe) :)

I still want to see Arlo and Kathy Matea do a Crossroads show on CMT. Matea's "God is watching us" and her "I feel like all creation is asking us to dance" along with lots of Arlo's stuff needs National attention.

I believe Julie Gold wrote "From a Distance", not Kathy Mattea.
