The comments about what it takes musically to get into the business now vs when Arlo was starting are fascinating. The comments about learning from other players compared to now when there is so much to learn but so many more ways to learn it are apt. As to what he wanted to be versus what he has become, isn't that a question we all ask ourselves. I meant to be a solo musician. I became that but life wasn't through with me. Arlo may yet get a fire tower to call his own. Ya know what ya know but ya know ya never know ya know. I think if he did, there would be a guitar case next to the binoculars. It's good company.

Vinyl? I may have to get one. I've one good needle left.

Wouldn't want to be the one cleaning the buses on this tour. :)

That's the best interview of Arlo I've seen in awhile; maybe ever.

Continuity. I guess because the interview talks about his family a lot, Arlo seems to be gathering up different strands of influence and they come down to that word. It is as if this tour is his way of keeping the brood on the path... wherever it leads.

You're right, Shelley.

Is that out in vinyl? I looked on the site but couldn't find anything unless I am looking in the wrong place. Having a record album of it would be neat...

I believe Arlo said it will be out on vinyl soon. I don't think it is yet.

BTW, Mrs. G. put some new videos of the Lost World Tour up at YouTube.

I got the Joseph story on video when he played with the Flying Saucer Orchestra in Alabama. It's a great bit.
