Many friends to come and go
Know there's a lot of feelings that I've left behind
And it's a lonely world I know
When your friends are hard to find

And, not quite as profound...

...and I took a sharp turn off the road. Luckily I didn't go into the mountain. I went over the cliff.

It's been years since we've been married
I know we paid some dues
Now ain't it something just to lie here together
Just me and you
Outlasting the blues

That's a very difficult question because they are so many. However, I think  my favorite song is still "Darkest Hour" - when I first heard that ---I became an Arlo-atic. My favorite line is...
Every move just for herself and that's all right. I think that line confirmed to me what I guess I already knew ... that Arlo has great respect for females. Don't really know why that's importat to me .. but it is.

Thanks for sharing this one! And thank you, Arlo, for writing them.

Pa and I are celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary today and I "borrowed" these lines for his card. They could not be more appropriate.

Impossible to pick just one but lyrics that come to mind at the moment are from "The Wedding Song"

"It's a beautiful day for getting married
I hope the weather lasts as well"

Tired & Worn I woke up this morning
Found I was confused
Spun right around
found I had lost the things I couldn't lose

Jonah: Days are Short is definately one of my favorite songs. I love the words. I guess it's not important who actually wrote the thing. I guess you could say most of my favorite Arlo songs, are the ones he penned himself. ( such as Day's are Short )

" what's in the pipe that he's smoking " ?

Though we froze at Valley Forge
We burnt the butt of old King George
From those flames we built the USA
And if those flames again were fanned
We'd get this country back by popular demand
