Can anyone provide directions to follow the "Garbage Trail" in Stockbridge/Great Barrington? I'm never able to make it to MA in the Spring for the HD walk. But will be in the area soon and would love to recreate it on my own - with an HD donation for good measure!

Much thanks, Sally

I used to have a t-shirt with a "map" of the Garbage Trail on it. Alas, it seems to have not survived the ravages of time. Good luck in your quest!

Thanks for the tip Mikey! There are a few t-shirts on ebay and zooming in on the images gives me a good idea of the trail.

I would try contacting George at "The Church" or Rising Sons Records.

I have at least half a dozen shirts in excellent condition. I could take a picture of one and email it to you.

Here is a description from last year.

The 6.3 mile walk begins at Alice’s Restaurant (now Theresa’s Stockbridge Cafe),
and heads down to the Stockbridge Police Officer’s Station, where you can meet
Chief Wilcox & The Simpson’s Chief Wiggum. Then on to the old town dump hosted
by the Dump Divas. Take a left onto Rt. 183, where you will get ice cream, meet
some of the Kindred staff and be greeted by gypsies and the good folks at
AmeriGas. We finish at the church (The Guthrie Center) on Van Deusenville Rd with
lunch & entertainment.
