James Taylor and Carol King have started their "Troubadour Reunion" tour in Australia. The evening is just terrific, James Taylor is super cool, and Carol King is having so much fun on stage, it rubs off. Almost as much feel good as a folkslinger concert

The show moves from here to New Zealand and Japan, and then around the USA from 7 May 2010 Portland OR, to July 20 Anaheim CA.

Before the show we didn't really appreciate the story behind the tour name (and my reason for posting here) - on stage is the original band who played a two week gig the Troubadour in LA in 1971, and then again to mark the 50th anniversary of the club in 2007 - Taylor, King, Danny Kortchmar (guitar), Russ Kunkel (drums) and Leland Sklar (bass). Kortchmar and Kunkel played on James Taylors "Sweet Baby James" and Carol Kings legendary "Tapestry" albums. In the words of an infamous Aussie pop guru - do yourselves a favour and get along !!
