I hope that the people of Scotland vote YES to this opportunity of ruling and taking care of themselves. In remembering the movie 'Braveheart' I think not just of those who fought and died for Scottish freedom but of the many innocent Scots who got trampled on by the might of a foreign neighbour who up until now have never given such a blood-free choice for independence.

Ireland survived her freedom, America, India and all the rest have also done so. Scotland will too and the world will welcome another 'free' nation.

The choice this time is for the Scottish people to decide and in that vote they are both free and sovereign. Peace and goodwill no matter their decision. Peace and goodwill to the UK for facilating this referendum in the free and friendly manner they have shown. An example that other Peoples may follow?
(I wonder what the native American People's would think?)

This world is your world. Take it easy, but take It." - Woody Guthrie

Was good that the Scots got the opportunity without any of the 'Braveheart' stuff.

Wonder if there will be a push in NI for such a vote? The Republic cannot afford a united Ireland and I'm fairly sure that any UK Govt these days would be glad of a YES but who knows maybe the USA might consider offering statehood to Ulster of the six?
