Well, it's certainly been taken to extremes by some on the right. Have you seen any of the caricatures of Obama circulating on the internet lately?

Defense spending as a socialist agenda.Note that with the automatic reduction in spending the US is still way above where it was on defense spending in 2006. The whole tax cut and spend concept of the Congress (note, it is both sides of the aisle here) is killing our country.

Not if you dance a little and have fun with the ones who issue the propaganda. When you have fun as such, it drives OCPD cases to self medication....

Of course we could go to great lengths and really Rush to get Sirius.

What's killing our country is lack of laughter. Sort of like hiding Grampaws miralax and then asking him for $30 to go to the movies.

The medical costs I have experienced over the last few years are really funny and that is with insurance. All those people who have died over the last 10 years for no apparent reason, hilarious!

I just keep thinking of more funny stuff'

The downgrading of my pension last year and my stagnant retirement accounts...It is a barrel of laughs.

Let's make fun of peoples ears and spend a couple more billion on useless weapons and laugh ourselves silly!

They are the lucky ones. The joke is on the ones who have to endure Mother Natures rage and worse.

I watch Romney fighting to drill for more oil and mine more coal just to continue pumping more carbon into the atmosphere when the earliest signs of newly awakened glacial fractures are being seen in Menomenee County, echoing through Clintonville Wisconsin. Then I see Barack showing us wind power. Even we rocket scientists are seeking better ways to put things in orbit than spewing more smoke and fire into the atmosphere.

Social impacts while making adjustments to repair all the damage caused by ex-president Bunny Ears are to be expected. Pension decline? How can someone blame that on anyone except themselves for expecting "happily ever after" from a corporate thief to begin with?

I am sure if you asked them that would be their attitude!

It appears the attention is on Paul Ryan's idiotry.

Considering that life after death is a good thing (we always say they are in a better place at every funeral I've ever seen) that probably would be their attitude.

Of course they might be brought down to resentment a bit to find someone referred to them in the same thread as Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan...

Agnes,

I have an absess growing in my rectum that feels as though it's 3 or 4 cm across now. I cannot afford health insurance. I hope you don't think I oppose Obama's Healthcare reform. I just hope I can make it through the next few years of bloody stools till I can apply for SS and then get some insurance. Medicaide turned me down because THEY couldn't get my paperwork sorted out. Of course that's my fault.

I never say that nor do I believe it just because somebody else says it.

Then, same as everyone, you have an opinion, if not a personally defined unit convention.

I notice you addressed that part of my commentary, though, as opposed to addressing the more important issue of taking responsibility for one's own mistakes. You complain about corporate failings of pensions and such. You failed yourself by not investing in yourself, rather than paying into some rotating corporate mindset with the idea they would do as promised.

Don't feel pregnant. Like everyone else, I've made my share of boo boo's, so now even my own earlier plan failed, leaving me with no means to get medical help. Agent Orange left me unable to drive without risk. Bad choices in marriage took another chunk out of my affluence. All my own bad choices.

The difference between us? I have a brand new plan that includes a sequence of back-up plans (B,C,D...). You only have a newly discovered (though truly old) complaint.
