An hour's a lot for the moment. I'll check it out later, partly because, firewall or no, I've been ending up with trojans and malware lately. One of my machines running XP pro took a hit, although I was able to set it back and recover. I wish there was some way we could just download the videos without any riders...

Sometimes if you log on to just about any link, you get pop-ups that actually run behind the window you are viewing. They're called drive-by's and while you are innocently viewing, chatting, composing, they track your activity. I'm on a secure connection, but it can still be hacked and if I download a video that has a separate file attached, whammo!, a trojan's in my machine.

Even the best virus scanners can't keep up with the hackers.

The sterilization to end a family name seems a bit odd. In a weird way it tends to be an acceptance of the bizarre racial politics of the NAZI's. A mark of Cain fantasy.

i wasn't really sure how to think of that one, but yes, i see what you are saying...perhaps if they'd heard you put it like that maybe they'd have thought twice?

Real Player, for instance, will automatically ask if you want to download a video from the web. I was dumbfounded once when I downloaded a video "Einstein's Theory of Relativity" and it turned out to be a porn flick. I no longer have it on my hard drive, but the point is there are some surprises out there for the innocent surfer...

really? i wouldn't say that. i mean, i appreciate the pain that must have been involved. perhaps theirs was an emotional response? maybe they would have liked to have heard a more objective point of view? just for the heck of it?

still, what is it that all came together so that this even happened?

I haven't seen the video yet. I was just reflecting on Herc's take. He usually is good at encapsulating a lengthy idea.

...and I saw the other possible meaning of the words, which is why i said what I did. Darwin Awards are generally the product of one's own blatant stupidity, but it sounds like someone thought a bloodline needed to be wiped out of the gene pool, thus the comparison.

the whole paying for the sins of the forefathers is something that struck me in the video.. what heraclitis pointed out may have made (brought?) practical sense to one in an otherwise emotional and or superstitious "world".

and I am saying that what those people were capable of doing to people they classified as "different" and to their own children and children's children was not unique nor particularly novel in approach. Their arrogance has been with the human species for some time.

Your are even less creative in your psychology than your chemistry? What's up with that?
