You know how it is when you're so excited about something that you have to tell someone? And you realize no one you know will be as excited about it as you,so that will take some of the fun out of telling? OK here goes...For some non-understandable plan of the Universe, I have never gotten to see Arlo live. I know, thats just crazy, but as ADG says,"Sorry, the world is nuts, it can't be helped." So, I now have in my hands, tickets to 3 shows in May, within [sort-of] reasonable driving distance from my house!!! I know my friends will be happy that I'm so happy, but they won't "GET IT". So I am asking the Blunderites if someone could please jump up & down for me.

Me too. I wish I could go to all his shows in Feb here in VA but can only go to the Hampton ones. Now that my late hubbys passed, I have no one to go with me and I can't leave my mom that long. I will taker her with me to Hampton and she will enjoy the motel room and rest while I enjoy the shows. :)

Cheryl, over the years I've gone to a few shows alone, it's actually a lot of fun! The only time I could think it would be a problem is if it was general admission, and you had to use the ladies room, who would keep your place for you? I guess I'd have to eat salty food and then consume no liquid for 6 hours before the show. Or, make friends with my neighbors and they'll hold my place. I guess I should remind myself to make friends with my neighbors in any situation! Just another way music teaches us about life :)

Ok, I shouldn't be on here late at night, tried to be funny, ended up getting all deep!
Have fun at your shows :)

LOL. Just leave your coat on the seat. I end up going to shows alone now. When I go to see him in Hampton, my mom stays in the motel room resting. But the DC area/Northern VA is too hard a driving to go alone and not have someone else with you like my late Mike. :)

Ooo, Ooo Ooo, ANOTHER ticket in my hand. And this one is 30 minutes from home, not [very quiet voice, little embarrassed to say] how many hours drive! But I was so relieved to get those tickets that went on sale so many months early. That gave me so much peace of mind.And....ROAD TRIP. :) As you can tell, I'm having a lot of fun with this.
I feel bad for all the people who had to miss their shows because of ice and storms.I hope it's rescheduled for you. Hi to everyone!

So I don't have to tell anyone here how great the shows were, but I just got home from the 1 in Indianapolis and the 2 in Akron. I'm pretty sure I've regained the ability to breath, so I'm testing being able to make sense when I talk, before I go back to work tomorrow.
So the meet & greet in Indianapolis did not happen, to save his voice. But all of us with those tickets got autographed posters, which I felt a little guilty , like, now we're giving him writers cramp just before the show!
I did see Abe before the show, walked up to him, but I could only manage a grin, and some kind of crazy wave!
I talked with Lynn a few times when she wasn't busy. She's so nice!
My first time seeing Arlo and I got front row.
Then 2 in Akron.I know that I should tell you more about the shows, but haven't regained the power of speech THAT much (or breathing either!) Took pictures of the bus leaving, with a little tear in my eye, and didn't notice till I looked at them later that in my photos, were other people taking pictures of the bus driving away. Bet they had a little tear in their eyes too.

Were any of you there too?

Sounds like fun. Just wondering who Lynn is and if maybe she's the t-shirt seller? :)

Thanks so much for the info. Not sure if I met her or not. His bus driver used to be a guy. :)

So, let me get this straight, Cheryl - Arlo's bus driver is transgendered? LOL.
