Yes there was some twists in that tale, and all true.

As we let Arlo in the front room on Christmas morning we were playing the Dr Who theme tune, he looked at us with a puzzled look!!! He opened all his presents sat in his TARDIS, then on Christmas evening when he was watching the Dr Who Christmas episode he was sat on the sofa with the DARLIC sat next to him, now named Bob with a paper Christmas hat taped on the top of it which he had written Exterminate on (it's what the DARLIC says before it kills you).

A Christmas long remembered,
Thanks again Arlo

I don't like starting threads willy nilly (now there's a term :) ), so this one will do as I have told a tail of Arlo, now here is one of Javan...

The insight the young offer when they newly learn something old can only leave you in wonderment at the fragility of naivety.

Javan is at a preforming arts student and at the moment they are:-

quote "doing stuff about freedom from the sixties, like you have to do something about freedom that like deep right".

Last week he came home on Wednesday to say the following day he had to come dressed up as a hippy( they only got told the week before!), lucky for him he lives in a house that can throw that sort of costume together!!! his dads Woodstock Tee, a load of beads, quickly glued a load of C.N.D patches to his jeans with a drawn on smiley and 'I got a couple of Key's at Alice's Restaurant' written on the back ( yhaay for sharpies ) {and yes one teacher did get the joke. And he was voted best costume.}

Any how, this evening he was regaling us with tales of his and his friends adaptations of their interpretative performances of freedom. When he told us this gem, now on reading the following let me know, you are in grater wonderment at the said fragility of naivety or my ability to rationalize and formalize random information...

Javan :- then my mate did this thing like as this woman... well sort of like I think it was errr..err Oscar Wilde's wife was it.

Me:- ?!?

Javan:- Well like She had this white dress on and was like meant to be everything.... yea Oscar Wilde... and she was cutting bits off and it was the Government using you.

Alan:- I thought this was meant to be the Sixties?

Me:- yes, Oscar Wilde live at the end of the Victorian period.

Javan:- yes, he must have been early sixties.

Alan:- no, I was born in the 1960's not 1860's you want to read stuff like Alan Gettysburg.

Javan:- Well it was this famous woman, Oscar Wilde was a famous munition...she was his wife... and it was well deep and got me thinking.

Me:- do you mean Yoko Ono?

Javan:- wasn't she married to Oscar Wilde?

!!!

Ed, to make sense.

 it took Alan half an hour to stop laughing!

But if you think about it does naivety have freedom? Would not it's freedom lie in it's captivity? For each realization you pay with naivety, once you know it's lost forever! For naivety to exist it must be kept from freedom?!?
