Davy Jones passed away at 66 (how did THAT happen he still looked like a kid) of a heart attack. I knew he wasnt a folksinger....but I think everyone of our age kindof appreciated the Monkees - whether we admitted it or not. I'm a little sad. :|

The Monkey's show on Sat. mornings was actually pretty cool for us "kids" at the time. Kinda neat it brought 'psychedelic' music to mainstream, even if was ultra-commercialized. It seems like it was inspired by the Beatles' flicks like Help! and Hard Day's Night........no real plot, lots of silliness, and always the music.........Sweet Dreams Davy!

It was such upsetting and devastating news to hear as I am a huge Monkees fan too. Davy will be missed.
