Sometimes, no matter how much you want something, it isn't meant to be.

My car didn't want to make the trip. I got about 1/4 of the way there,
when the car started acting weird. I called my mechanic, and on his advice sought out a local mechanic in Trinidad. That guy wasn't going to even be able to look at the car for about four hours...

So I turned around and headed back to the Springs. I had to stop numerous times, but I made it back and went straight to the mechanic. He checked it out, and it looks like I'll be needing a new fuel pump.

So I'm taking my few days of vacation time to do some work around the house that I'd been wanting to do - staining the cabinets etc, with help from my grandson and his friend.

And I'll be in the back pockets of numerous friends who are going to be at WoodyFest. As I said, sometimes things just aren't meant to be.

So sorry Wyld, I am happy I didn't jump in your pocket, I'm in Shelly's.
I'm sure there is plenty of room so jump in here.

I'm so sorry Wyld you didn't make the trip!
That also happened to me just before going to a festival , it was something like an « ignition coil! », luckily my mechanic could repair it in time but he lent me another one in case it happens again on the road!

Man.. so disappointing... happend to me some time ago with a car that I had bought for $250 in my younger days. In fact I was going to see one of Arlo's shows near Boston. First sign of doom was my car wouldn't go more than 45 miles an hour on the highway then when we had to drive up this steep hill it was a bit more than the car could take and broke a rod in the engine and that was it. The car just wasn't going to go any further. We couldn't afford to take a cab the rest of the way so we tried hitching a ride but by the time we got there we missed the show.... My friends and I made up for it the following year and had seen Arlo and Pete together on the South Shore. What a great show it was.... Anyhow, I am rambling again. Sorry to hear about your misfortune with your car.
-Eric

We missed you, Wyld! I felt so bad that you couldn't make it! Darn car! We thought of you often and all had you in our back pockets at various times.

BTW, Lorie, you had a fabulous time! :D

Judy, you missed a great show at Tanglewood. I got a two for one deal when the gates opened early, as I went to go find a spot on the lawn most of us watched Arlo do his sound check way before the show. We watched two Arlo shows the same day, Boston Pops,Burns Sisters, and Alec Baldwin. I sure got my money's worth :D
