Now I know why I cut the chonklit cupcake I bought today in half--so I could eat one half in Shelley's honor, and the other half in yours! Joyeux anniversaire, Cecile!

Thanks a lot for all your good birthday wishes, in American English and in French :)
I left my work late yesterday and there was no chonklit cake left at the baker’s, so I made it, a chonklit « moka » !
It was a nice birthday.

Thank you for sharing about the bakery, Cecile.Il est donc parfaitement et admirablement français que la boulangerie n'avait pas plus de chocolat gâteaux. (It absolutely is so beautifully and perfectly french that the bakery had no more chocolate cake) in the evening. It reminds me of the time I lived in Belgium and France.... I want to cry !!

Glad you had a good day!

And not only for cakes, also for bread , that's why I have always some "baguettes" (French loaf) in the freezer. :)
